Mary Lou's Quilt from Renee Mirazo

Hi,
Renee Mirazo of New Mexico sent me these pictures and story.

"Hi – I am sending some pictures of a quilt Mary Lou just quilted. She is my current apprentice and this is only the 2nd quilt she has done on the longarm. Your Swirls template made her look like an old time pro. She is taking to longarming like a duck takes to water.

Some members of our Church (St. Francis Catholic Church in Reserve) formed a guild(?) called Friends of St. Francis. One of our projects is to make comfort quilts for members of our parish that need comforting. Since we are in a remote area young people move away for work and frequently return when they retire. When we started one of our group figured out that we were already 4 quilts behind before we had made even one quilt. The goal is to have a stash of quilts. The group picture is only part of our workers. Not all are quilters. We have pinners and pressers and with everyone working it is amazing how much work gets done in one afternoon. We now have 6 quilt tops completed so I needed an apprentice!
